Hi,

I'm looking for a Adapter Converter from VGA-to-Analogue to being able to connect my Notebook to the (any) TV (the older ones).

TVs usually have one or more of the following input connectors:
S-Video
Video (cinch)
Scart

I' found some Adapter:
PC TV Konverter - NEU! - ganz einfach Pc: Amazon.de: Elektronik
KanaaN PC VGA zu TV Composite Video RGB Konverter: Amazon.de: Computer & Zubehör
Geniatech PC VGA zu TV Composite Video RGB Konverter: Amazon.de: Elektronik

These devices are all looking very similar.
But the buttons are different. Is there really a different? What you think?
And what could be a problem of these Converters?

I didn't find Information about how the signal is converted,
What if I have a high resolution? And use the VGA out from the Adapter,
Can the analogue signal send to the TV be scaled correct?

Or is there any other good converter Adapter?

PS:
There is another Question in my head.
Is it posible to have a external USB Audio-Card with different Audio channels.
So that I can assign Application A to one output channel and Application B to another?
eg.: The Media player to the Channel which is feeding the HiFi- equipment,
while the VoIP Application is assigned to a second channel feeding the Head Set.
But if needed signing all channels to the media Player (to get 4.1 Sound)

Is such a thing possible?

Welcome to SevenForums-

I'm looking for a Adapter Converter from VGA-to-Analogue to being able to connect my Notebook to the (any) TV (the older ones).

It would help to know what inputs the TV you want to use has.

TVs usually have one or more of the following input connectors:
S-Video
Video (cinch)
Scart

Generally one of the following in the Sates, but I see that in Europe Scart is common. http://www.svideo.com/scart.html
Composite S-Video
VGA
HDMI newer ones.

Any of the adapters you listed would work, I'm saying this without knowing the inputs to the TV you want to use.

And what could be a problem of these Converters?

The more connections the higher the possibility for signal degradation.

I didn't find Information about how the signal is converted,

Hope this will answer this question http://www.repairfaq.org/sam/vidconv.htm

What if I have a high resolution? And use the VGA out from the Adapter

This one is a little unclear to me as to what your asking. Simply because I thought we were talking about older TV's. Also if you could use VGA out from the adapter why wouldn't you just go VGA to VGA?

Can the analogue signal send to the TV be scaled correct?

You can do alot of corrections using this program http://downloads.guru3d.com/PowerStrip-3.75-download-169.html

You might want to post this in the Sound & Audio section. A member stormy13 is very well versed in audio.

Hmm … as mentioned:

Video (cinch)
Scart

The Adapers I linked have:
Input: VGA-In
Output: S-Video, Video & VGA-out

So I think it would be posible to use a VGA input signal to feed using the adapter:
via VGA a LCD-Screen
via S-Video/Video a TV

both with the same Source.
But the LCD screen could use a higher resolution than the old TV screen ...

This is why I'm asking and confused.

Powerstrip should be able to help with this.
