I remember back in the day of Windows 98 or something you could add and remove things from the Installation disk. I screwed up my Media Player and would love to reinstall it but i can't.

I tried the whole installing Media Player 11 thing and it works but doesn't look that good and i can only play files in the library or by drag and drop. Double clicking an .mp3 just gives some sort of server error?

You might need to restore the .mp3 file association.

Go to control panel and go to Control Panel\Programs\Default Programs\Set Associations

You can select a file extension and then the change program button to select which program will open.

They seemed to have changed it for windows 7 because in all previous versions of windows you would have had to open windows explorer.
