Add "Unallocated" partition to my "D" drive?

Ah, thanks for that, dsperber, I appreciate all of you trying to help me. I blame only MY IGNORANCE in this problem. I'm sure that anyone with a bit more brains than I have would have solved it much more quickly. MY FAULT entirely.

Use the Partition Wizard boot CD to be certain it will not fail. All other partitioning tools can and will fail, as can the installed version of PW. We have never had a case where the boot CD of PW failed even in the most complicated partitioning operations.
