Hey my computers primary drive really sucked and had only 80 GB so I added a 250 GB hard drive to it. The second hard drive works fine just is there anyway I could some how add it to extend the C drive so they could be read as 1 giant drive? It would make things a lot easier. Right now it is empty.

Hi.
I would think using the second HD as a logical Partition would be a good place for backups and placing your photos, music etc. on to keep C drive more manageable.

Yes but my C drive is very small and my D drive is at least 5 times bigger so If I could some how switch or extend them on to 1 drive that would be much better.

Not sure if or how to extend the HDD to have a logical partition that spanes both of them...unless there is a way to RAID it like that

As for switching it over you would need a program called Ghost or a equivalent as just copying over the files outright will not work for a OS partition

But I would recommended just keeping your 80GB for the OS and using your bigger HDD for your files.

Shippage, hi, How have you set up the 250GB drive, different partitions for music, documents etc. is a good way to go. I should have said extended partition.

have you a partition manager, eg. Acronis.
Disk Director?

Never used Steam. Try to install and see if it gives you the option of installing to another directory, if it does create one on D drive by the same name and install it there.

Never tried to do this like this, but you can just move over the steam folder to the D drive and rerun the steam installer picking the new location

you may need to uninstall the old steam install (after moving it and before you reinstall) to keep your system clean, but IDK about that
