Adobe problems

My Berlarc Advisor is telling me about Adobe security updates as shown below.

EOL Adobe end of life Flash Player 24.0.0.186 Plugin 64-bit is vulnerable
and no security updates are provided by the vendor

EOL Adobe end of life Flash Player 24.0.0.186 Plugin 32-bit is vulnerable
and no security updates are provided by the vendor

I have Windows7 SP1 64bit.
Can anyone help to resolve this problem for me, I have downloaded the latest version to no avail so what can I do.

Hi:

Belarc Advisor, Secunia PSI and similar, 3rd-party "update advisors" are not always 100% current or correct.

They have some value for users who prefer neither to perform hands-on, manual software updates nor to configure their programs for automatic, silent updates. I personally no longer use these sorts of utilities. I prefer to update my programs manually.

Re: Flash Player
Each browser/class of browsers needs its own version of Flash Player.
Under Win7, IE needs the "ActiveX" version, while Firefox and similar browsers need the "Plug-In" version (NPAPI) and Opera and Chrome use the PPAPI version.

24.0.0.186 is indeed the current version, as of today.
So, it seems that either BA is wrong, and/or you may have installed the current *ActiveX*version for IE, but you still have an older, outdated version of the *Plug-In* version for Firefox.

You can check to see if you have the most current version directly at the Adobe site here:

(Note: you need to repeat the test for each different browser that you use.)
