Aero disappeared? How can I get it back?

I just noticed it when I was using my comp today (my taskbar isn't transparent anymore). How can I fix this?

If you have any 3rd part toolbars, on taksbar remove it.

Good, now where it says window color, click, and on the next screen, there will be a small box, to check, which says enable transparency.

What is your edition of 7. HP? etc.

Did you ever have a transparent taskbar.

If you have HP and the answer to 2 is yes. Maybe you should check drivers and graphics card.

Try this, click and save, go out then find a pic you want for wall and set as d'top image.

Windows 7 x64 installed on a typical PC.

Yes, the transparent taskbar was here just earlier today, this is the first time I have had this problem and I have been using Windows 7 since the release date.

Go to device manager make sure you have updated drivers and graphics card. Then try system restore.

What's the status of "Desktop Window Manager Session Manager" service? If it stopped, start it. If doesn't start, go look into Event Viewer, search for "Desktop Window Manager Session Manager" service messages. Post any error(s) you see in there in here.
