On Thursday I decided I was going to do a clean install of windows 7. I initially had windows home, but installed windows 7 pro this time.
I created a backup on my external and proceeded to do a clean install.
When the install was finished. I installed the motherboard drivers, then the video card drivers.

The motherboard drivers had a disk to install a few things on the disk including:
intel chipset driver
realtek audio
management engine interface
jmicron jmb36x controll driver
marvell sata 6G ahci Driver
Intel LAN driver
ASmedia
Asus Bluetooth driver

I went down the list and installed each of the items.
When this was all down, windows update started to update... at an extremely slow rate.
Before the clean install my internet was working fine but not its beyond slow. It took over an hour to download 153mb of updates. It takes minutes to load a page (such as this one).
I should mention that I am using a hard-wire connection, not a wireless one.

My specs are
Board - asus P8z68V pro
Processor - intel core i7-2600k
the network adapter is a intel 82579V gigabit network connection (on the board).

I tried to un-install the network adapter and re-install to no avail.

Has anyone experienced slow internet after a clean install?
Any ideas what I should do? I figured it was just being slow internet that happens once in a blue moon, but 2 days with the same connection is getting frustrating.

Not sure if this is relevent but...
In the computer management section, under device manage -- > network adapters there is:
Bluetooth device (personal area network) #2
Bluetooth device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI) #2
intel 82579V gigabit network connection

Is it possible that they are conflicting with each other?

Hey thanks for the response.
Unfortunatly that didnt really help.
I think I have found the issue ( I hope).
I ran the diagnostics on the card and got an issue saying
" The adapter is configured to force the speed to a low speed. ". I can not find any way to get this fixed tho.

Try going into Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center. Delete your internet connection, shut down, boot and reinstall internet connection again. This may give everything a chance to reset.
