After reinstalled the OS (Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit) I can't install any programs form Local Disk (D:).
When I try to do this I see this message every time for every program:
"NSIS: error launching installer"

I thought a lot of and decide to rename the files, but nothing changed then I moved the files to random location on drive C and then every program can be started even with original name - from MyDocuments, Downloads, even C, from any place in Local Disk (C:) launching without any problem.
In this moment in my PC are installed only Nvidia driver and Security Essential. That's all.

Please for advice.
Thank you.

Hi Lautrec-

Try this-

Leave the nsis error installer message open, don't close it.

open windows task manager(CTRL+ALT+DEL) you will see nsis error "running" on that task tab on task manager.

Right click on nsis error and then click "Go To Process" (This should take you to the process tab). This will indicate what program is giving you the problem as it will be running. Does it?

It doesn't work. The process is the program which I'm launch. Two days I clean free disk space under Linux-based OS but nothing is change. This strange problem is so annoying! If I find solution I'll write here. IF!

If that's a new installation I would do a clean install. It sounds like windows didn't install correctly so there is no telling what else is messed up.

The strange thing is that when I originally researched this, everyone who had this problem could make the .exe files work by moving them to a different partition whether it be from C: to another or from another to C:. I don't pretend to understand it.

In my case only from another to C:.
I have two HDD. 80GB for windows respectively Local Disk (C:) and one HDD 2TB respectively Local Disk (D:)
Never before I has issue like this. Today I do plan to install fresh copy on 7.
Before do I install this copy I noticed suspicious activity exactly at disk D:. Much activity, much noise.
I scanned for viruses, but nothing. That's why I didn't mention about it before. However I decided to install а fresh copy of Windows, but I made a Windows bootable USB under Linux. Now I'll make it under Windows whit Rufus. I'll be write after reinstall.

i think a reinstall is a good idea. something is wrong if you start having issues immediately after reinstalling windows. there's no telling what's damaged.

It's done. After reinstall the OS and install over 1,5 GB windows updates, now everything is okay. Has no problem.
I hate problem like this one because it's staying without answer. Completelly new installation for "almost nothing".
In previous installation, the OS used much system resource – ~70% CPU, over 50% RAM, for long time after system start up.
Now it's normal.
