ON a Dell Inspiron 530S I cloned the 300 gig HD to a solid state 500 gig drive. The drive booted up and it asked me if I wanted to update the drivers for the hard drive - I said YES then it said to activate the drivers you need to reboot the computer. I believe that the updated drivers that were used might be the culprit because the system now boots into windows 7 pro but then it automatically reboots over and over. Next time I work on the system I will try to remove the drivers for the PNY ssd drive. Any known causes for a computer rebooting continually after cloning the OS on a Spinal HHD to a solid state ?
Im pretty sure I could go to the device manager to remove drivers in safe mode... ? If that is the cause.. ?

No because I did the clone in a different computer. THe first time it booted however it did boot right and then it asked me if I wanted to update the hard drive driver and I said yes. THen it continually rebooted. So maybe the Bios needs to be updated so the driver for the hard drive works OR I need to just reclone and not use the driver. ? For some reason it would go into a powershell from something. I used to use this DR watson utility and it would allow me to turn startup things on and off but I can not remember if that was only on XP or if that is available on win 7 My next step is to reclone from the old disk to the ssd and not update the driver for the hard drive.

Was the source disk originally installed on the target machine?

If you have cloned a source disk from a different machine, you might need to adjust to new hardware. Because it would effectively be a motherboard swap.

I have a cloner computer I use

So often its such a trick to get a computer to boot to a flash - So I have a utra small form factor dell 7010 optiplex that I use to clone hard drives. I did not know it would ever work to do what your describing. I suppose if dell has its product key embedded it would update it ?
Anyway so the Source disk was from the Dell Inspiron. A old spinning hdd disk. I use Acronis Disk director flash that I made by cloning the Acronis Disk Directory DVD to a flash. I always use the 32 bit version of the Acronis Disk Director.

Kida Off topic but
I guess if I use the 64bit version of Acronis disk director I would also need to be using the Globaly Uni Part table GTP and UEFI and for all that to work I guess I need to have ver 2 of the TPM chip ? And then also a Microsoft account. When all that happens I am a bit of a fish out of water. Not as familiar with it.
