AHCI and Intel Matrix Storage

Hi,

I am planing to upgrade with Intel SSD drive, but in BIOS at the moment I dont have AHCI option (only IDE or RAID). Would AHCI mode will be available in BIOS if I install Intel Matrix Storage?

As I see from PC Wizard 2010:

General Information:
NorthBridge: Intel P31/P35
SouthBridge: 82801IR (ICH9R) LPC Interface Controller

Functionality:
SATA AHCI Enabled: Yes

AHCI option I can have only missing drivers or software at the moment? Thanks

Hi tomas, you motherboard must have support for AHCI function, can you specify model and brand, maybe you need to update the bios.
