Moving right along....

I am trying to install WIN7x86 to an I5-12600KF on a GA B760M D3H.
Using the USB stick that did my previuos 8 and 10 gen boards, the install stops early with the request to browse for a driver even though they have been slipped in.
Using a fresh boot USB stick with no USB3 drivers added, and pre-loading another partition with USB3_WIN7_2021, when I get to the browse request and point to the above driver, the Host Controller part is recognized and, upon clicking "next" the computer runs a bit then stops with the message:
"No new device could be found. Make sure the driver files are correct and located on the driver installation media"
Is it possible that the USB 3.2 controller on this MB is different?
I have installed WIN8.1 on another partition with no problem.

**Forgot to mention I am using a ps2 mouse so that I can get around.

It's really blurry, and I don't know what he is doing.
Even after I turn off the music!
But I guess he did it.

Install 64-bit not 32-bit.

No difference with 64 bit. Maybe it's not a USB3 complaint, if the old Windows 8.1 could make the cut.
Maybe it's some other driver, or lack thereof.
But what??

And so,
I backed up to the H410t mitx that I built with a Comet Lake cpu 2 years ago, and posted on this board.
I removed the ssd for safe keeping, placed a new ssd in its place, and attempted to install Win7x64.
I ran into the exact same problem as the first post above: it stopped at the "browse for a driver" screen at the beginning of the install. It stopped at that same place whether I added the USB drivers to the boot USB stick with 7UPv64I, or not.
I am doing something wrong and don't know what it is..

Finally a solution.
I found some notes that I made 2 years ago for the PRO H410T Comet Lake mini-itx board.
Win7x64 WAS NOT installed on it using a USB stick. It was installed using a DVD.
I had plugged a DVD drive into the board temporarily and Win 7 installed perfectly, although without any USB capability at all.
But I had placed the USB3 driver in another partition prior to the install, and, when up and running, the Device Manager installed it.
I had also done this same procedure for an 8th generation Coffee Lake years before the above, and forgot all about it.
In my limited experience, the only time I was able to use a USB drive with the USB3 driver slipped in was for a 7th generation Kaby Lake cpu many years ago.
