All icons gone from desktop after updates

Wasn't sure where else to put this.

Today, I installed the critical updates and 2 optional updates. Now I have no icons on my desktop. Trying to check/uncheck them in Personalize does nothing. I can't even drag anything to my desktop. It shows up when I look under Explorer at Computer > Desktop but nowhere to be found on the desktop. Gadgets are all still showing up. TOO WEIRD.

Hello Apratsunrthd, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You might check to make sure that Show desktop icons is unchecked when you right click on the desktop.
