All Removable Drives Are Prompted To Format Or Scan Upon Insertion

When I insert any kind of removable drive weather its a USB HDD, Thumb drive, or SD I very often get these prompts. I know for a fact there's nothing wrong with the drives I can close the message and use them all as normal. It did once prompt me to format my TB drive on my windows 7 x64 system, but its rare it happens on that machine. Its on my windows 7 x86 laptop. I ran chkdsk, defragmented, virus scanned. I don't like the danger of my documents being formatted. Its so easy to not be paying attention and accidentally hit enter or someone else does. I engineer with audio and video and it can result in a huge loss for me. Backing up the files would help, but the problem would still be there.

I had windows 7 installed since February, and it wasn't a problem initially.

Windows wouldn't let me create a screen-shot of whats being seen, but the text still copied to the clipboard. Usually I would be able to knock out the problem, but I don't know whats going on at this point. I am A+ certified if that helps.

Windows 7 x86, Sony Vaio VGN-N220E

Yeah first I tried copying with Ctrl + Prt SC + C then then pasting into paint and power point. It just came out as text. I already had Mwsnap 3 its a nice free app. I just was to lazy to install it on this computer lol thanks for the suggestions though I might try Fast Stone anyway it may be more convenient. Anywho heres the screenies.

Try this ...

Type diskmgmt.msc in the start/search window , right-click on the disk (in the left column of the Graphical View) and choose Properties. On the Policies tab, make sure to set it to Optimize for Quick removal (no cache), rather than for Better Performance.

Quick removal is the default, but you may have removed the external drives without the "safely remove hardware wizard".

Quick Removal was already enabled on everything except the built in card reader, which cant be set to quick removal.

I think I solved it. I ran an elevated command prompt window then ran chkdsk again however tried it this way "CHKDSK G: /F" it still didn't show any kind of errors, but i tried removing and inserting about 10 times without any errors. Also I didn't use the safely remove hardware and eject media tool in the system tray.
