Hi,
I'm running Windows 7 SP1 64-bit and I have an asus m4a88td-v EVO/USB3 motherboard.
Everything was working fine up until this morning. Now when I boot into windows all USB devices stop working. They work fine in the BIOS, but as soon as windows starts up all the lights turn off on my keyboard and mouse, and they become unresponsive.

I have tried setting the USB mode to legacy in the BIOS, to no avail and I have disconnected all usb devices except for the KB/M and still nothing.

It is frustrating as I cant navigate my computer or open device manager to see where the problem lies.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I managed to get it figured out, but thanks for replying.

For anyone else experiencing the same issue:
I had another look in the BIOS and disabled the USB 3.0 Controller, which allowed me to use SOME usb ports, it seemed to be random ones, if yours dont work try switching them around. Some of my USB 2.0 ports still didn't work.

Once I had my KB/M working again I went into device manager. I right clicked any entries under USB that had a warning symbol on them, and clicked uninstall. Then I downloaded my motherboards USB drivers from the ASUS website, and UNINSTALLED the previous ones (repairing did nothing) and then installed them again. After a few moments everything showed up in device manager.

Then I went back into the BIOS and re-enabled the USB 3.0 controller, and now everything is working perfectly.
