AMD PHENOM II x4 955 BE Stock Heat-sink problem !! :(

Well, Here is my System Spec

System Manufacturer/Model Number Self Built Clone PC.... this January
OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64
CPU AMD PHENOM II X4
Motherboard MSI p31
Memory 4GB DDR3 1333
Graphics Card Sapphire Radeon 4770HD
Sound Card ViaTech HD Built in: with MICROLAB M-111 2.1 Speakers
Monitor(s) Displays Greatwall 19" W & LG 15"W Parallel
Screen Resolution 1400X900 & 1280X720

the problem is, My stock CPU cooler gives noise while during games or multitask.
and the temp rises to 56 Degree and stays in 40-45 avg while no task is given.

How can i reduce noise?

or should i look for an aftermarket cooler?

56° degrees is pretty much borderline which is all you can normally hope for with a stock cooler, the idle temps do seem to be to high though. I personally would go for an aftermarket cooler, you should be able to find something at Newegg.com - Computer Parts, Laptops, Electronics, HDTVs, Digital Cameras and More!

The noise comes from the fan size a larger fan delivers more cooling air at a slower speed and less noise.

PS the most noise will normally come from the graphic card fan which is something else you may want to take into consideration.

I have the same CPU and heat sink and rarely go over 40c. You may have a bad fan, so I would look at a new heat sink.

My GPU fan is okey, i have been using it since 2010. and i checked it with another pc. GPU fan no problem. the problem is in Heat-sink i guess. Thanks for info. i am checking for an after market CPU cooler. can you suggest me a Good and cheap one? cause in our country after market cooler are rare.

well, i found another process... My Mobo is MSI 760GM p33,
i entered in BIOS then
>HW MONITOR
>enabled cpu smart fan' &
> set 'target temperature' at 60C.

Also keep all fans and fins clean with regular at least every six month cleanings. Blow the cpu fins out with compressed air and keep the whole case clean.

I never stick with stock coolers especially if there is the possibility of over clocking. This is what I just got...less than 30 days ago. Temps stay at 32 degrees idol and at full load, playing Crysis2, doesn't go above 38 degrees. It uses direct contact heatpipe technology...they were the first to use it. Best bang for the buck IMO...check out the reviews. Very very quite.

Nothing cools like water and with tested sealed systems at such competitive prices it's almost unthinkable to design a system that you intend to OC without it.
