AMD Radeon 6870 black lines around screen

Hi

I have just finished a pc build and everything went smoothly except for one thing: the display won't show the entire screen!

I have connected the computer to my full hd monitor via hdmi and Windows recognizes it as full hd, although the screen seems to be scaled down. There are black lines around the edge of the picture.

It like watching a movie filmed in 4:3 on a 16:9 tv although all the way around.


Is there any reason it could be doing this?

I dont have the same issue but was told you have to use 10.10e for supported screen resolution unfortunatly the 10.11 doesnt support the full screen 1920/1080 or higher i hear the new driver will fix this issue 10.12 anyway go back to 10 10 and it will fix it

Thanks, but I was on the 10.10 driver when I noticed the issue.

Don't worry, I fixed it. It was the overscan settings (they somehow defaulted to -15%).
