I like the new app drawer as seen in the last screenshot. Chrome Beta works fine on the phone as well. I used the V6 Supercharger Script to get it running a bit more smoothly (V6 Supercharger). Some ROMs incorporate something similar, like the Gingerbread ROM is used had similar minfree RAM values in it, but it also locks the homescreen in memory (like what CM7 does) and gives the homescreen a higher priority (which stops redraws on the launcher).

It's a nice ROM, especially on a phone that sure as hell won't be receiving an ICS update. Breathes a bit more life in to it.

I think we have to tweak service.jar for fully function the V6 script.

Yea forgot to mention that, it's only ICS ROMs that need the service.jar modding.

Yup.. Now you have easier ways .. When it came out it take 2 hours to finally edit the smali files. Now you have a site to edit the file.

I upgraded to a HTC One S a few days ago. Got a nice deal for it, and I love it. I looked at the One X, but it too large for my liking, plus the S seems to be quicker than it in just about every benchmark.

I love it. Not rooted it, and don't think I will as I'm happy with it for the moment as it is. May root when S-Off is available and more ROMs are around. Sense 4.0 is really nice. Keeps a lot of stock ICS elements, which I like as previous Sense versions took over completely from the stock Android UI.

The camera is amazing. I didn't think a mobile phone camera would ever be this good, but it's almost as good as a high end digital camera. Beats Audio is also great on it. Sound quality is really good, I'm just annoyed HTC stopped bundling Beats earphones with the One series. Apparently they did at first, and some places still do as a deal, but I must have been too late for that as mine came with HTC earphones, which are still really good earphones, but I may try and pick up some Beats earphones.

Nice. Sadly not all games work on nVidia T3 processor. But I tried ShadowGun and GTA III it's pure awesome.

GTA 3 is really fun on my One S as well. Will kill some time for sure on long journeys.

I had too many problems with my One S due to the micro-arc oxidation finish chipping off. I exchanged it 3 times until I finally asked Carphone Warehouse to exchange to a One X, which they did.

It's a great phone. I've put a custom ROM on etc and it's really nice to use. The screen is amazing to look at and the image/video quality is something else.

But the build quality compared to its younger brother, the One S, just isn't the same. As many problems as I had with it, I do miss that oxidised aluminum case on the One S. It had the most solid feel about it. Super light and strong. The One X is nice, but I can feel a load of niggly bits about it which make me miss my One S.

As for the Tegra 3, as potentially fast as it is, it's not all there yet. Being on a custom ROM and kernel gets rid of a lot of the lag, even on the homescreen, but it shouldn't be there for a quad core. It's not as fast as it should be in benchmarks too. My One S's dual core would be hitting close to 5100 on Quadrant, while I'm getting about 4400 tops on this. I'm aware the X has a higher resolution than the S, so graphic benchmarks aren't fair to compare.

I love the One X, just I loved the One S more, but I couldn't do with the oxidised finish flaking off after 2 days with each new handset.

Today I installed a custom kernel on my phone. Simple reason, better battery life and ultimate performance.

Ran Quadrant and the scores were mind blowing. With stock kernel, I could never reach beyond 3400.

They're good results. Custom kernels can work wonders with performance.

I put a custom one on my One X after making my previous post and that helped with performance. I get higher results, but still nowhere near what I should be reaching. The phone itself is smooth as hell, so I'm not letting it worry me, but you'd think I'd be getting close to the same results as the One X in the Quadrant results, but no. Just a shame as my One S would be topping the Quadrant results with over 5000 points.

I know. My friend owns a One S and the Quadrant scores are near 5000 even with stock ROM and stock kernel. Its a great phone.

I spoke too soon then. I just ran the V6 supercharger script on my phone and set the CPU governor back to on demand after testing interactive, and I just got 4900. That's more like it

Are you on gingerbread? I never felt any lag on touch wiz. A software update should fix this issue.

No, I'm on Ice Cream Sandwitch. The Galaxy Tab 2 comes with ICS. Also, I'm not rooted just in case you were wandering.

Also there is this weired grapahics glitch that happens to some of the icons with long names on the home screen only (and it doesn't do this with Nova or Apex launchers) when the device is turned where the Samsung logo is on the left. Every other orientation doesn't do this (I put a small black arrow pointing to where it is):

That's certainly an issue with the TW launcher. As said, wait for an update from Samsung. Hope fully they will fix this issue.
