anybody know an app or command that can launch the start menu? something i can pin to the taskbar. instead of hacking explorer.exe, i just want to hide the orb with Start Killer and get to the start menu with the left-most pinned item...

even something that would send the WIN key would suffice....

thanks!

Here's a quick AutoIt script compiled to an .exe Garbanzo, Just doing the sendkeys for the startmenu. Quickest script wrote by man I think! :D

The actual code inside the zip is:
Send ("{LWINDOWN}{LWINUP}")
Exit
(I don't even think the 'exit' line is needed but what the heck, it won't do any harm!)

haha i actually just made my own with AutoHotkey! never used it before but it was pretty simple:

Send {LWin}

i tried both, and yours is a bit faster, so i think i'll use it instead of mine.

thanks :geek:

Great mind think alike and all that lol! :D

I wouldn't have thought there would be such a speed difference so that you would notice to say there both doing the same thing...

Anyways, glad it works mate. :)
