I have a high end system
i5 3570k @ 4.3Ghz
1866 Corsair DDR3
EVGA 970 FTW
kingston Hyper X3 120GB for OS
Samsung 840 EVO 500GB
Seagate barracuda 1TB
Corsair 750RM PSU
Win 7x64 Home prem

Now when I crash in any game be it the latest titles like "Lords of the Fallen/The Evil Within etc." I get this sort of a massive slowdown /hang. My computer would just slow down to a massive crawl and won't do anything until I manage to close out the game window along with the "Is not responding click here to close."

The thing is I cannot click to close that nor can I get the mouse to move its sluggish way over to click it with everything being delayed by 3-5 seconds on input and some not even responsive at all. IF I do manage to make it the problem goes away as soon as the game closes. It does this with every game crash and started doing it over a month ago.

Only other fixes I can do for it is log off the user and log back on. Nothing else works. I have no bug reports or anything since this isn't a windows crash. All the crashes are related to graphical crashes in some ways I'd imagine or a game flaw that just crashes at certain points. It only started doing this a month ago.

Is your Rig OC'ed? some games don't like it, some others can't handle it.

Are we to assume that you have the latest Audio & Video Drivers installed? if so, perhaps it would not be a bad idea to download fresh new versions, uninstall the ones you have now and install fresh copies again? If you don't use or have anything 3D, disable the installation of it.

If you are sure there is no Bug Report, this is about all I can tell you to try... I am sure the PC Gurus will chime in momentarily ;)
