I noticed this specifically on my dedicated Windows 10 computer, but now the problem has shown up on the Windows 7 PC...

WLM will not open, no matter what I do. The spinner just sits there grinding on the splash screen. A check of Task Manager shows no CPU activity for WLM.

I've tried running WLM as administrator, I've tried a repair of Windows Live Essentials. I have not tried a restore point, though some people on the Windows 10 forums say that works. But that just leads me to believe it's because of an update, and the update will just be reapplied in a few days if I do a SR, so I'm no further ahead if I do that.

I know that MS doesn't support the Windows Live suite anymore and they want you to use Outlook and Hotmail/Outlook.com, (and the crappy Windows 10 mail app), but jeez. If they disabled it on purpose, that's just wrong, and that's what it's starting to look like.

Is anyone else having this problem with WLM?

It looks like I'm going to have to replace it. Thunderbird here I come!

Ha!, what a concidence, not about WLM, but I will install Thunderbird because the web version of Outlook is just unbearable to me... is sluggish even with modern browsers... It's total crap. Dunno if any other people experiences that as well.

Probably your move will be Thunderbird, as I will do, I'm tired of M$ crap...

Personally, I haven't had any problems regarding WLM crashing or hanging.

There was a patch (KB3093594) that was released late last year (December) that caused WLM to crash and/or experienced syncing issues. You can check to see if this has anything to do with the problem.
