Anyone know a good Proxy Tool ?

Hi,

does anyone know a good Proxy Tool that I can run under WIN7 so I don't have to use my own IP for browsing & more through the internet ?

There are so many tools out there, and some cost a lot of money, so its hard to know which actually works good and does what its supposed to do. It shouldn't just be working for the browser but for other Applications as well.

Your best bet in my opinion is to rent a VPS and run all of your traffic through an SSH connection on that machine. It'll hide your IP and you can rent them from anywhere in the world. There are services which you can get the entire setup done for you as well. It's probably the more expensive route, but it's also the most effective. If you get the right kind of SSH, you should be able to hide your IP and encrypt your traffic without much effect on your internet speeds.

Thank you, though I am not so the Server kinda guy, you know the nerd. So if there is an easier but also effective way, I would appreciate that more. What do you think of Tools like "HideMyAss" for example ? Is it worth the money or is it just one of many frauds ?
