It's important to note that even though msnmsgr.exe created those folders on moonman's system, this program is apparently not the only culprit. On my system, it is clearly Windows Live Mail that is creating the folders, and after doing a full search, I found that msnmsgr.exe is not even present on my system.

Same here. Its all part of Live Essentials so I think there is some reg setting or variable that is set wrong.
