Dear all,
Here are my PC specs -

1. Windows 7 Ultimate - 64 bit
2. 8GB Ram
3. 2 Sata Hard Disks of 80 GB and 320 GB (both of which are relatively empty)
4. Radeon HD Graphics Card
5. Antivirus - Microsoft Security Essentials
6. Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-A75M-UD2H
7. CPU - AMD A8-3850 (2.9 GHZ)

Off late, my PC takes way too long to start any application. At times, even if I click on a folder, it doesn't open and finally the PC gives me the 'Wait or Close' option.

Even while switching off the PC, it takes a long time.

I clean my PC regularly and run scans from time to time. The PC doesn't show any virus or malware as of now.

Any suggestions what I can do? I assembled it not more than 2 years ago and it's started behaving like this off late.

Also, at times my 320 GB hard disk doesn't show up under my computer. I have to open my cabinet and tighten the SATA and Power cable and then it shows up again.

Any help will be appreciated.

Tell us the details of how you "clean my PC". What do you do exactly and how often?

Have you checked running processes or services through Task Manager when it seems to be slow?

The drive issue may be the cause. Have you tried another cable or connecting the hard drive to another port?

I use Clean Up Utilities, CCleaner to clean my PC.
I regularly defrag using Defraggler - my disk health shows good there..
I run SpyBot and MalwareBytes to clean the PC of malicious agents.

I haven't tried changing the SATA/Power cable yet. I will order one and do it today.

Hello Kanhaiya. your problem might be because of too much loading or your PC is filled of useless processes, please check your task manager then check performance also check processes if there are hidden applications that are running on your backround, also check and and delete files and unused apps, also delete files inside the recycle bin to delete them completely, you could also download a PC booster (Be Sure To Check if it has a Virus) and refresh your PC, also try to Delete Apps/Files with most Data stocked on your PC, hope this helps. If nothing works, be sure to ask your manufacturer or consult a Professional
