Applying Update Operation got stuck in windows logo

Downloaded Windows 7 update and installing it in pc shutdown. But it's stuck in a windows logo, saying "applying update operation 909 of 909 (chuchu/chuchu/..)" tried to restart the PC for bunch of times but to no avail. I tried the F8 but I get stuck with the Repair Your Computer cause I don't have that damn windows installation disc with me. Is there any other way I can system restore it without CD or if possible, can I use another installation disc so long that it's Windows 7? Someone pls help me out. I would appreciate it surely.

You should be able to get System Restore to work from a full Win 7 DVD providing it's the same SP level, and the same edition as the current install.
