Ad LF, That is a problem. There is a big void with the average user as far as system knowledge is concerned. If everything works well, they can get by. If one gets to this forum and joins there is more that enough information on Windows 7 updates.
When it comes to W-10 updates for Windows 7 their are tutorial and threads on this forum and the Ten Forum that can give you the needed information if one wants to look.
Blogs to me is not a method of gathering information.

In my limited experience W-10 will not install on Windows 7 with out a user input.
I really don't know what happens except what I read when one has updates set to auto.
I have never done automatic updates.

I would bet the answer is on this forum if one cares to look.

One does not have to like John or any other member of this forum.

In my opinion one should show respect and politeness to all members.

John owns and operates one the most successful help forums on the internet.
To me he has earned my respect whether I agree with him or not.
Yes their are time I don't agree with him, so what. The would isn't perfect.

There have been things done on the forum in the last week or so that I don't agree with but who am I.
I'm just a member. I'm not in the chain of command and don't want to be.
This forum or any other forum is a dictatorship with a chain of command.
I know who the dictator is and who are in the chain of command.
To the best of my ability I will follow their rules and guidelines.
When I do make a mistake the rulers just remove my mistake and I learn. I'm thinking; OOP's don't do that Jack and shut up my keyboard. I think I will just hang around until a perfect forum comes along.

One thing I've noticed is that people who do not like Win 10 for whatever reason only attack Win 10 and MS for the way they are distributing Win 10 and are not attacking people for liking Win 10. However, it's people who like Win 10 who have been attacking people who don't like Win 10 by insulting them, using cracks like tin foil hats, etc.

Frankly, I don't give the north end of a south bound furry little rodent whether someone likes Win 10 or not. There are perfectly good reasons for both sides of the argument but resorting to personal attacks against forum members, using cheap shots, insults, pranks, etc. is childish, nonproductive and tiresome.

All John said was you can leave anytime you want LF, he didn`t attack anyone, insult them, pull a prank or any of that, he can do whatever he wants, you don`t have to keep replying to the thread if you feel slighted, like I said, some people here catch feelings, including myself, but that is there problem and the door swings both ways. I handle gripes with people in a PM, not in public, now that IS childish But then there`s no way I`m gonna let some noob with 10 posts who has no idea what he`s talking about try to make me look bad
