Assorted BSODs, no pattern

I have been getting a lot of BSODs over the last several months. I have yet to recognize a pattern so I would like to get an opinion from this forum. The BSODs have included: Bad Pool Headers, Memory Management, An Attempt Was Made To Write To Read Only Memory, IRQL Not Less Or Equal, and some that appeared not to have a label at all. There were also instances where I turned on the power and it went to a black screen. Sometimes it will throw a BSOD before I get to the password screen. Other times I will use the computer for hours and I will leave it on (sometimes after closing all the programs running or sometimes not) unattended and I will return to a BSOD. Very perplexing…

I have an older eMachine that I upgraded to Windows 7 with an AMD Anthalon 64 3500+, a GeForce 8400 GS PCIe video card, the original RealTek RTL8139 Network Adapter, the original ATI/AMD SB400 Audio Controller, an ATAPI DVD A DH24ABS, a Samsung 233335W monitor, 4 gigs RAM and a Hitachi Terabyte hard drive. I have run Driver Genius and made all the suggested driver updates. I have run MemCheck86, the Windows Memory Checker, and the thorough CheckDisk repair routine.

The DM Log Collector is appended.

Thank you for considering this!

Thanks Laith,

I thought that I had followed the BSOD Posting Instructions. However, when I used the attachment procedure to upload EMACHINE-DSKTOP-Tue_06_16_2015_212524_98.zip folder the browser function wouldn't accept the .zip folder so I attached the 4 DMP files that it identified inside of that folder. (010815-21359-01.dmp, 010915-19109-01.dmp, 012015-17484-01.dmp, and 020915-37453-01.dmp)

I just now tried to attach the .zip folder again and was unsuccessful. Any idea what I am doing wrong? Is that the reason that you asked me to follow the forum BSOD procedure or was it something else?

Sorry for my confusion.

Sorry, I am unfamiliar with the upload procedure. I tried it again and noticed this time that it identified my 4 .dmp files as "invalid files" I am digging into this further.

No BSOD at the moment. I am using that eMachine computer for this forum.

The last BSOD was this morning. It was unusual in that it had both the BSOD code and an additional NTFS.sys address. I've only had one or two others like this.

Stop 0x00000024 ()x001904FB, 0XAC8F3578, 0XAC8F3150, 0X8BC2BB37)
NTFS.SYS Address: 8BC2BB37, base at *BC15000, DateStamp 52e1bb56

Some previous ones were:
6/12/15 1255 Hrs Stop 0x000000C5 (0x00000004, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x82B3587B)
6/10/15 1036 Hrs Stop 0x0000001A (0x00041284, 0x09FED001, 0x00010F27, 0xC0802000)
6/9/15 ~1200 Hrs Stop 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0x81E445B5, 0x9137BA8C, 0x00000000)

I am also appending a BlueScreenView log going back to January.

Yup, just as i thought this might be a case of a failing harddrive as the NTFS.sys driver is involved which is the filesystem driver.

I'll run the chkdsk/f program again but last time it came out with no problems. The drive is less that a year old.

If chkdsk comes back OK, could there still be a concern with the hard drive?

OK, I have an Hitachi drive but I see that SeaTools will evaluate other brands, just not repair them. If it finds a problem I will check to see if Hitachi has a similar program. I will probably post late tonight or tomorrow. Thanks for your persistence Laith.

No problem, just check with SeaTools if the harddrive is failing if it is then your gonna have to buy another drive or hope the tools that Hitachi came with works and repairs the disc.

OK, I ran all SeaTools For Windows tests ( SMART Check, Short Drive Self Test, Short Generic, and Long Generic). All resulted in a "Pass" I ran the Long Generic twice. Oddly, both times the Long Generic test results were passing. However, both times the progress bar only showed 99% at the completion of the test. (See image below.) The other three all showed 100% at completion. I am "assuming" that SeaTools knows what it is doing when it gives a passing grade.

View attachment 363151

Again, the reported status of all four SeaTools tests was "Pass".

The Windows Disk Management check also came back "Healthy" for both "C" and "System Reserved".
