Asus Eeebook X205T stuck in bios loop.

netbook is stuck starting up in bios. there is no boot options, so i cant even boot into the false SSD.

i have no other iodeas what to try. i tried updating the bios to the most update one. version 2.08.

i tried disabling the secureboot and tried doing a bootable usb with win7 and win8 32bit. it wouldnt even recognize the bootable usb when i KNOW it works.

not sure what to do from here.

Hello and welcome SynGreis mate now even though you do not have any boot options if you use just the USB stick and a blank drive in the machine Windows should by default go looking for somewhere to boot from.

Therefore if Windows is on that stick the machine will check the first boot option if it is the drive - it will be empty - then it will go to the optical drive if that is empty it will go looking for the USB source and as Windows is on that stick - I take it it is an ISO or some bootable form of media it should start to load Windows.

Now why you don't have any boot options is something quite different and I am assuming you updated it after the boot options disappeared?? and it is begging the question what does the BIOS screen show - so a pic taken with a camera for example would be good.

Edit meant to ask what is a false SSD??

Hi, I've just got exactly the same thing on my X205TA after trying to free up some more space on the tiny SSD I rebooted and now the laptop will go to nothing but BIOS.
I've tried doing various things with this laptop in the part and i've discovered that the system board in these little laptops are rubbish and have hardly any features.
the laptop doesn't even look like it's posting let alone getting to windows.
I think that this laptop may require some kind of storage driver to get this laptop to be able to see the SSD.

I've emailed ASUS for some help, I will post if I have any luck.

Thanks for the tip, the laptop isn't actually running any OS at the moment because it's not working at all. I will continue here as we are experiencing the same issue.

Oh ok mate the 10 was in the specs so I assumed you were using it. So what OS are you intending to use and what form of media do you have??
