ATI Radeon 3650 HD AGP

Hi, i have same problem but i also have old A7N8X nForce2 MB
I used nVidia 7600gs in 2 years with no problem on vista and win7
7600 is left this world and my only options is to bay hd 3650 agp
Is there any way to enable AERO and work normaly, I got errors when i start Office 2010, and if refresh desktop rapidly with F5, also i have driver restart on login in on desktop, HELP pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee:cry::cry::cry:

I have 3 socket 7 boards, Asus A7N8X-E is one of them and run powercolor AGP 4670 with ATI 11.1 driver with no problems on Win7 ultimate.

If you updated all the drivers available straight from win 7 servers (not older downloads off cd) you should have all you need to run.

Update directX too from MS Website!

You need to set 'aperture' in the bios to 128 or 256
Try disabling 'fast writes'

Make sure you run the Win7 'performance' WEI (Windows experience Index) as this can cause 'weird' problems if not updated!

Another one for you and others is this!

Some drivers for HD audio are built to share AGP memory area - many chipsets do not support this!

So if you previously installed OS the audio driver may be stealing the memory area that your new agp driver needs to access!

Another thing - to enable AGP sharing it has to be enabled ie 'programmed' into the bios!
If bios is out of date but chipset will support agp sharing you need to contact manufacturer for an unofficial 'tweaked' bios or get a kind person to program it for you!

Try disabling audio in bios - then installing agp card!

Hopefully those 'clues' might put you on right road for sorting it out or for further research!
