I ran 3-04_enu.ede and then setup_rwplus_xp_vista.exe. Now I'm getting the dreaded error:

The program can't start because MFC71.DLL is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

I don't think this is intended for 64-bit environments, like your Win7 x64.

Now I'm getting the dreaded error:

The program can't start because MFC71.DLL is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

MFC71.DLL is in various locations on my systems (apparently as part of various other applications), but on my systems it's also in \Windows\SysWOW64. It's part of the general support for 32-bit applications running in the 64-bit environment.

I don't know how it got installed into my \Windows\SysWOW64, but for sure it's automatically installed as part of a standard Windows Update to upgrade Internet Explorer to the latest version. You get both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of IE during that process, and I believe MFC71.DLL will absolutely be installed at that time if it isn't already there.

If you're not already running IE version 9, you might just go ahead and upgrade (although it really should probably be on your system if you haven't declined Windows Updates).

Hopefully this will get MFC71.DLL onto your system, but it still might not help you get Remote Wonder to work.


What TV software are you running, which you're trying to use your Remote Wonder with??

If it's Windows Media Center, my own story was that I simply bought another remote, which was a genuine Microsoft Windows Media Center remote. This WORKED under Win7 x64, and also had the exact buttons which are fully supported by WMC. Problem-free install, recognized by Win7 and WMC, and fully supported by WMC.

Even if you manage to get your Remote Wonder working I don't think its buttons were intended for WMC. They were probably intended for Catalyst Media Center, or maybe even the ATI Multimedia Center... neither of which are intended for Win7.
