Windows seems to believe any audio device I plug in isn't actually plugged in. No matter which jack I plug anything into, it doesn't detect either my mic, my monitor speakers, or my headphones. I updated to the Vista version of the realtek drivers, and it doesn't detect anything either. I don't think all of the jacks would have broken at once, so I'm very hopeful that's not the problem.
Edit: After I rebooted, my monitor speakers were detected. I was also able to plug in my headphones and mic as normal. The problem is gone, but I figure the next time I move my computer the same thing will happen again.
Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening.
