Hi friends,
Long story short - I formatted the system just few months earlier & haven't had any issues to bicker about.
Turn to today, all of a sudden audio goes off, on my wired headphone while watching a movie - I assumed, maybe as I woke up the system from "Sleep" mode earlier on - something must have happened, so reboot would help. It has happened in the past, when reboot fixed net connectivity or audio but this time it didn't.
I tried searching online & learned about the "Playback Devices" - I have never had the need to even open it in the last 12 years. So, when I checked in there - audio was switched to "Speakers" mode - I selected headphone, audio was back - it played for few secs before it went to Speakers mode again on its own & its been shuffling at its will between the both every 5-10 seconds. I tried disabling "Speaker" hoping it would help but instead I see a muted icon in the System Tray. My speakers went kaput years ago & the hardware shop guys asked me to use external speakers instead of replacing this one as apparently its hard to find speaker for this model & even if so, it may cost twice or thrice as much of a external speaker.
I have used external speaker in the past & for the last 2 years or so, I have been using only wired headphones. I have tried 2 different headphones & the result is same in both.
And yeah I ran sfc /scannow test on the device, thought may be it can fix - never know. I got errors found can not be fixed, then again errors found fixed. Then again errors found can not be fixed errors. I have attached all the 3 files, I rebooted once in between as well - hoping it would fix some underlying issue but it didn't.
Would appreciate any help to overcome this, I use this device primarily only to watch some videos or movies & listening to music - my work is on my other laptop running w10.
