Solved auto reboot for Win 7?

So I want to set up my Win7 machine to auto-reboot after power failure. I've done all the setup in BIOS, but all the instructions THEN say to set up Windows properly by going to Start-All Programs-Accessories.

In my system, there ain't no Accessories.

How do I proceed with auto-boot setup without that?

For what I know, auto restart is a BIOS only feature, no windows settings required.

On my Z170 MB, under power configuration:

AC BACK
Determines the state of the system after the return of power from an AC power loss.
- Always Off: The system stays off upon the return of the AC power. (Default)
- Always On: The system is turned on upon the return of the AC power.
- Memory: The system returns to its last known awake state upon the return of the AC power.

It appears that there is something that needs to be set in Windows to make it happen automatically.

When you Windows is interrupted by a power failure or a freeze + power shutdown on a restart windows will open a window asking what you want to do. If you do nothing it will start normally.

If you have set BIOS to restart the computer after a power failure, why don't you try to see how it works.
Boot normally, wait till you have no disk activity and pull the plug from the wall outlet wait some seconds and plug it back.

Well, I've made the required changes in BIOS, but it does not reboot when power is restored. As I said, I am told by many websites that there are other changes required in Windows to make that happen. I have not done that because I can't find Start-All Programs-Accessories.

1a) Go to Start and click on All Programs



1b) Locate Accessories folder and click on it to open it



1d) Locate Command Prompt and right click on it
1e) In menu select Run as administrator



1f) A Command Prompt window opens



Continue with Step 2 in instuctions

Thanks for all the pictures but, as I said, there is no Accessories listed in All Programs. That's the issue here.

- Hit start and on the search box type cmd
- A cmd.exe will show on the top. Right click on it and select "Run as administrator"

A CMD window will open. Type on the command line

That's strange. I have it in all my computers with Windows 7 Home and Pro. No matter you can also get the Command Prompt as @Megahertz07 just said.

Select Start and type cmd in search box



At top locate cmd.exe and right-click on it
In list select Run as administrator



The Command Prompt box will pop up

I'm missing something here. OK, a Command Prompt box pops up. What do I do with it??? Is that what Accessories is supposed to give me? I don't really have a clue what Accessories is all about.
