Dear all,

I dont understand the problem at all. My machine just shows BSoD while working.
It is not that I get BSoD when using a particular software. It just pops up. Shows memory is being dumped. And machine restarts.

OK, first you test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.

If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

If it does not show any error, enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

   Information
Why Driver Verifier:
It puts a stress on the drivers, ans so it makes the unstable drivers crash. Hopefully the driver that crashes is recorded in the memory dump.

How Can we know that DV is enabled:
It will make the system bit of slow, laggy.

   Warning
Before enabling DV, make it sure that you have earlier System restore points made in your computer. You can check it easily by using CCleaner looking at Tools > System Restore.

If there is no points, make a System Restore Point manually before enabling DV.

   Tip

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any.

Dear Arc,

I have done what you suggested. But the Memtest ain't working on my machine.

I removed my Graphics Card. After removal, the machine worked for about 5hrs. Then it gave me a new BSoD.

I have attached the file herein. I request you to please help me with the same.

No probs Boozad, actually Arc has been helping me till now so I posted it by his name...

Nope, it did not download through Windows Update. I just recently setup the machine and installed Windows. So I downloaded the SP1 manually through the Microsoft site.

I downloaded the package from this link: Download Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 (KB976932) from Official Microsoft Download Center
And the package that i downloaded was: windows6.1-KB976932-X86.exe

Sorry for butting in Arc, but can the OP let us know where SP1 was downloaded from? Was it through Windows Updates?

You'll be better served with Arc assisting you, but try to get Service Pack 1 through Windows Updates.

Hi genxcoders.

As per the latest BSOD happened at 5:52 PM today, the system is not Service Pack 1 installed yet.
Code:
[COLOR=Red]Windows 7 Kernel Version 7600 MP[/COLOR] (4 procs) Free x86 compatible
Product: WinNt, suite: TerminalServer SingleUserTS
Built by: 7600.16385.x86fre.win7_rtm.090713-1255
But without SP1 installed, it will be very hard to go any deeper to the issue.

Get the updates other than the optional ones. Let the update run overnight, if needed. But that is a must.

It is a memory caused BSOD. Either the RAM is malfunctioning or any driver is passing bad info to the memory.

@ARC:

I have done the MemTest+ for like 48Hrs+ straight... it went on till 18 or 19 passes...
There were no errors or red lines or anything...

i had taken the snapshot through my phone to send... but i dont have it now as after that i tweaked my tab to use Lollipop and had deleted the entire stuff... I will just check the Driver Verifier thing and get back...

Dear Arc,

Sorry for the delay i posting, had a few prior commitment to take care of...

But the machine had BSoD twice, after enabling the Driver Verifier. I have attached the files here, generated through "SF_Diagnostic_Tool.exe". Please have a look!

Unfortunately none of them are recorded. May be those took place before the computer booted to desktop?

Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.

  1. Click on the Start button
  2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
  3. Select the “Startup” tab.
  4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus, MSC for your case.
  5. Apply > OK
  6. Accept then restart.
Then try Driver Verifier for one more time. Hopefully we will get a crash dump this time.
