autoplay on external HD

how do you stop the autoplay on an external drive on every start-up? txs

I don't think you can just turn it off for your external hard drive, it's either off or on ...

Turn off auto play

1. Click Start and in the Search box, type gpedit.msc and press Enter.
Now browse to Computer Configuration\ Administrative Templates\ Windows Components\ Autoplay Policies\ Turn off Autoplay.

To Disable:
Change the value of Turn off Autoplay to enabled.
