I recommend just using one virus scanner. Using 2 at the same time can cause problems and it will indeed put more load on your computer. If you bought Nod32 you might as well just use that. If you're just doing the free trial then I would just stick to Avast. I've been a loyal Avast user for years though. I've never had a problem with it.

Lord make my word sweet, in case I have to eat them later...
well I used to use avast a long time ago, and If I remember correctly I liked it a lot at that time. These days I'm using ESET Smart Security, which is NOD32 AV, Anti spyware, a firewall and antispam. Sort of a like "an all in one suite".

I recommend that you stick with NOD32, If you like it, personally I find it to be light on the system and for me it's install and forget. It does an excellent job protecting the system "behind the scenes".

Take Care

The choice is yours

No you don't need and even musn't run them together

Thank you jav. i should have added a disclaimer to
my post noting that i am a beta tester for online armor
and have been for several years.

Note: OA does not currently support 64 bit
operating systems but, that is being worked on.

Both are good. However, they wont work together. I have tried it and it causes issues.

It's never good to have two resident antivirus programs. You can have them, but only one resident and the other one just for scanning. If you want that I can recommend you A-Squared Free Antivirus, which does not work as resident.

PD: sorry for my English, it's not my language :P
