Avermedia RECentral suddenly stop working, please help

Hi, I have been using the Avermedia software for quite a while, one day it just suddenly fail to open.
The situation is as follow, click on icon-> sound comes up but no image-> icon shown in the tool bar, task manager but no image or thing to interact. I first tried to reinstall, error continues.
I tried my machine on my friends PC with the same software an it worked. I can't fine singular problem online, I tried to delete my antivirus and other stuff but it didn't help. I think it maybe my PC problem, please help

I just got it and am having the same problem with RECentral not opening but I can hear the program.

i was having the same problem and i contacted avermedia there was nothing wrong with my dxdiag tests Ive uninstalled using revo ccleaner and nothing is working. strangely this started when i updated my windows 8 to 8.1 and trying compatibility mode and running as admin did nothing. a customer support person is going to remotely access my computer to try to figure this out so i will post my results here.
