Hi all
I prefer other players but for those that use WMP / WMC here's a get around to play FLAC files. (At You Own Risk -A.Y.O.R) however.

Hi there
the point of FLAC is that although its LOSSLESS it is COMPRESSED so you can get around 3X the amount of music that you can compared to WAV.

This is important particularly if you want to play HIGH QUALITY music on a portable device - the music will still be played in UNCOMPRESSED mode of course.

Similarly on a 500 GB HDD drive you could store approx 3,000 CD equivalents in FLAC compared with around 1,000 in WAV.
