Viewing external Subtitles in WMP12 / 7MC
hi,
i am trying to show external subtitles (srt, sub) in my Windows media center\player 12 in WIN7 (in VLC it works)
i am using the WIN7 32BIT, with the latest FFDSHOW INSTALLED
with SUBTITLES ENABLED.
now i understand that the problem is with WMP\WMC 12 loading their default codec which doesnt support sub srt subtitles.
so i tried to changing preferred DirectShow filters in Windows 7 using these:
Tool for changing preferred DirectShow filters in Windows 7 - Doom9's Forum
and this Media Center Decoder Utility (MCDU) Finally Comes to Windows 7 -- Hack7MC.COM
with no success ...
the file i using its a standard :
Video: XviD
Resolution: 624×352 23.97fps
with an external SRT file
any sugestions ???
p.s. also i have tried renaming the files as suggested here with no success iether (also i prefer not to rename system files)
