CriticalError, one way that some use to backup files, mostly files that are new or changed is creating a dos batch file using the xcopy command. This way it will look at any directories that you specify, and copy and new or changed files to the target drive/directory.

Once you have it working, you can refer to it in the task manager and have it run at some specific time and day.

CriticalError: I recommend that you copy the directories off to another device so that you can restore your web page to a version that works, just in case you modified the web page and it is all screwed up

CriticalError, what I mean was to attach an external usb backup device to your computer and using windows explorer, mark what directories you want to save a copy of, then mark and copy them to your external usb hard disk so that you can recover if y ou have a fatal mistake in your web page.

It is alway a good idea to have a clean good workable copy of your website to be able to restore it to a workable web page, just in case you screwed it up when you made changes.

Ah yes Rich, that is what I do now lol, the hard drive is external. In fact I have two external hard drives. Seagate 500GB and that new 2.5" 320GB. All user data is always saved on the external seagate drive never to the C:\ drive just in case windows messes up. However I though if the seagate fails I am screwed so I got the 2.5" just for backups. It backups just my website files mainly that's it.

I have loads of backups btw, I still have some on my two USB sticks, so all good!
