backup issues - error code 0x80005D

Tried to back up to an external HD, always fails and gives the error code 0x8078005D. Tried a system image backup and the same error came up...

any ideas?

We will need a lot more information before we can help you please fill out your PC specs what version of Windows you are using and what program are you using to make the back up with.

I think this is due to junction points or reparse point. Windows backup cannot manage this somehow. I had no clue how to deal with this and therefore went back with Nero Backitup.

If somebody has an idea how to identify and remove these junction points, so Windows backup can operate, I take the advice.
