Backup Vista Laptop to windows 7 PC

Hi.
Attempting to setup a windows 7 PC to backup a laptop running vista over a network. Making real hard work of it so far!!!
Any one with any ideas? PLZ

May not be the solution you're looking for ... but look into Macrium Reflect.

They have a version available for free download -- and it will allow you to backup the Vista PC to network storage. Thus, you wouldn't have to use your Win7 PC to do the backup.

Thanks for that, but would really like to use Win 7, "I'm not a defeatist, just maybe disillusioned"
