Ok Lynyrd Lets try something. Im going to walk you through some steps for something you can try, I do believe to fix this issue will require you to update your keyboard. But i believe the steps below will help you atleast get rid of the beep.

Go to Start type in Sound and Press Enter.
Then click "sound" thats found under control panel
Click the Sounds tab & Scroll down to Default Beep.
Change Default Beep to NONE.
Then Save as Custom.

NOTE: If that does not stop the beeping i would highly recommend replacing your keyboard, or getting a friends to test out.

Ugh, I'm pretty sure I've put that in a .rar file before uploading, I wonder what happened. >_<

By the way, I just bought a new USB keyboard and it seems that solves the beeping problems. Although I'm still a little bit concerned as to why the PS/2 keyboard was malfunctioning and the speaker(which is also connected to the motherboard) seems to be affected everytime it happens. I hope it's not a problem with my motherboard.

Anyway, thanks a lot for the help! I'll just post again if anything happens again. And sorry for the very late reply, I had to go to bed then, it was way past bedtime here in our country.

Nope, If it was your motherboard it would beep on post and continuously without keys being pressed, its something to do with older keyboards. Glad its been taken care of i dont suspect you will be having anymore beeping :)

Glad we could help, if there is any other issues you seem to have give us a shout!

There certainly is still potential that it is the motherboard. Nothing requires the system to beep on post if it has a motherboard problem. The speaker rumbling and PS/2 port having an issue at the same time would definitely make me think there is a hardware issue.

Its a common issue with an older keyboard, i would say he is safe. But sure nothing states that his motherboard must beep on post for an issue. But Typically if its the motherboard he would be having other troubles and it should be doing something on post.

Well in case the motherboard is really defective, good thing I still have a one year warranty. But the noise in the speaker hasn't showed up so far after replacing the keyboard, so maybe it's already good. :)

Honestly I don't see you having any more problems, Ive noticed this issue come up alot and 9 out of 10 times its because they're using an older keyboard. Just keep an eye on your motherboard temps and any unusual behavior. As you should always keep an eye on your computer :)

I guess my problem with this isn't over yet. My speaker just produced static noises while my PC is idle, and as usual, the keyboard also stopped responding but with no beeps.

Now I'm starting to think that the one at fault here is my speaker. I'm using a very old speaker, I've been using this since only God knows when. In fact it was already broken, it already fell so many times and the wires are already cut in half. I just attempted to fix it and it worked somehow. Also, if my memory serves me right, these problems never occur when I'm using headphones instead of the speaker. But I just don't see how can it affect the keyboard. Because they're both connected to the motherboard, maybe?

It could be a factor of things, try just leaving your headphones plugged in or different speakers and see if it continues. You have basically done everything else, i still feel like its a peripheral issue.

Whew! I finally figured out the cause of the problem. You see, I'm using an extension cord with 8 sockets and I plug different things on it, including my PC and the speaker, and even our TV. When I tried to plug in the TV earlier, I noticed that the PC speaker made that crackling noise so I quickly checked it and I observed that the keyboard lights were turned off. So it turns out that the speaker produces some kind of reaction whenever I plug in anything at the socket. To be sure, I tried to plug and unplug the TV repeatedly and the same thing always happens. Since the speaker connected to the motherboard, it produces some kind of power reaction as well, which is noticeable at the keyboard. So after all, it doesn't have anything to do with bad peripherals, but with the power connections.

But I also concluded that it was a different case with the keyboard beeps, because I never had one since I replaced the PS/2 keyboard even at heavy usage.

Again, thanks for the help. :)

Glad you figured it out Lynyrd, Was prob a good idea to replace the keyboard anyway :)
