Solved Behavior of "Run" in Start Menu

In Vista and XP, if I issued a command in the Run command in the Start Menu, the command would be remembered. The next time I went to the Run command in the Start Menu, the command would be remembered and appear in the dropdown menu.

Now I have a new Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit computer ... and when I enabled the Run command and entered a command, I found that the next time I went back to the Run Command, it did not remember my earlier command; and since that time I have used the Run Command a few times, and it is never remembered.

Is this something I can fix? If so, how?

I'm not sure how it is with other flavors of Windows 7, but for my Pro x64 I had to pin the Run command to my start menu for it to remember the last command used. Right click the start orb > Properties > Customize. The Customize Start Menu dialog box opens. Scroll down to Run and check mark it. Next time you open your start menu you should see the Run command in the right column and (hopefully) it will now remember the last used command.

Hey, Mike Connor. Thanks much! That was pretty easy once you know where to look! :)
