I've searched and searched with this problem and it seems there might just not be a solution to it. I have a v4 Belkin wireless adapter 7050 that I have had working on multiple computers, just this week I revived an older compaq 5210f as a secondary office computer, this has a clean Windows 7 install on it since I just wiped everything to recover it.
The problem I've been having is the computer is with this Belkin 7050 installed the computer will crash to a blue screen whenever there is a load on the internet, like trying to download windows updates. I think I finally narrowed it down to the drivers aren't installing properly or they just aren't being used by the adapter. I have tried installing with different compatability modes, installing through adding a device etc. The other issue I noticed npw is that I have been through this so many times it seems to be installing "Belkin wireless device #6" yet I've unistalled all the previous drivers, so maybe this is the problem? Sorry for the poor spelling I'm on my phone since this adapter won't stay connected!

If Roy's solution doesn't fix it, try installing an older version of the driver, even going back as far as a Vista driver if available. Sometimes a new driver will have a bug in it.
