"BEST" is subjective. What I think is best and works well for me on my system may not be the best for someone else.

it didn't mention the BEST one

best..excellent...great...poor are subjective notions......even the "so called best security solution" would fail if one is careless, click happy surfer.Your choice depends on free/paid...av/internet security.Avira/avast/mse for free are good....kav/nav/eset are good as paid solution but the best is one that works on your rig ;)

The best antivirus is common sense. There are some decent second lines of defense as well. I use Microsoft Security Essentials personally. They all work, just depends on how fast tehy respond to new viruses.

I also like Microsoft Essentials. Low on resources and it does the job at keeping me up to date with definitions. I had Norton 2010 for about 5 months and it stopped working and caused me many errors. I even contacted them and they couldn't even fix it. That's when I said Goodbye Norton 2010. It was a waste of money if you ask me.

So far Microsoft Essentials has been a savor and it's free. :)
