hehe, I only use Chrome, although Firefox is not a bad browser either. IE runs things too slowly, if you check the Sunspider Javascript Benchmark test, Chrome is x10 faster than IE, and thats after I added a plug-in to IE make it faster

Opera is the fastest & the only browser that has mail built in, a private tab or window. No need to go hunting for extensions it's got everything built in & i love the transparent tool bars.

What test did you use? and yes, please include the dev channel of chrome in that, it is a full version ahead of the stable channel.

Opera 10.51 is the fastest full release at the moment but Chrome & Opera are playing leapfrog with the beta's this week the Chrome beta is a couple of hundred points faster, doesn't mean much when they are both scoring over 10,000 on my PC.
I find Chrome really slows me down in real life, Its the user interface where Opera shines. A couple of examples
selecting text with Opera 2 clicks selects a word 3 a sentence 4 a paragraph & from the context menu select the option you want copy to note ,translate etc.. I like surfing full screen F11 & if i want to enter a web address F2 open the panels it's F4 & F4 to close them, Ctrl Tab opens a box showing all your tabs & click tab or shift tab to select.Most of the time i surf Full screen with the Status bar combined with the Address bar with buttons added to open Main bar Tab bar & Scroll bars & a split screen button and the clock on the far right.

I always liked Opera's full screen method, except that it bugged me that it would cover the taskbar. Now, I only select to show the tab bar and address bar, because I found that when deselecting to show the menu bar, it also causes the bar with the min, max and close buttons on it to disappear also, leaving only two bars showing...plus the Taskbar. It also leaves the scrollbar showing, which is tedious to use in full screen.

Chrome is fast and even though they've added extensions, Firefox will always have the edge with its ability to offer extensions for almost every personal need. I use both, but Firefox is my mainstay!

I'm curious...what extension(s) do you think is indispensable, that Opera doesn't have it's own method to provide?

I have used most of the major browsers extensively(except IE). I used Opera for years because it was first with tabs. But I switched to FF at 1.0.

I try out the latest build of Opera now and then, but Opera still has odd quirks that don't work for me. For instance I organize my book marks into folders on my link bar. Now in FF/Chrome/IE, if you middle click one of those bookmarks it opens in a new tab, but not opera. Opera has kind of crappy bookmark management. I hate the "show on toolbar" setting when other broweser just let you drag things around. Opera has poor setting imports and I keep hitting pages do odd things in Opera...

Chrome renders more consistently than Opera, imports all setting perfectly from firefox. So it moves ahead of Opera. But plugins/extensions aren't nearly as plentiful or good. For instance Flashblock in Firefox blocks all flash, but in Chrome annoying flash leaks through.

So in the end I still prefer Firefox. It is rock stable for me. Renders well. Speed arguments are pointless, all browsers are quite fast now and who wins a benchmark is irrelevant. There is no real difference surfing web pages.

There are useful extensions in Chrome, like "Chromey Calculator", "Wikipedia Companion"... and stuff like that.

I used Peacekeeper with latest Chrome 5.0.371.0 dev, only got 3042 :

I prefer the middle click option to open from a bookkmark folder as well but its easy to right click & drag down with the mouse to open a new tab first & i love being able to add a nikname to a bookmark folder or bookmark properties i have a news folder with a nickname n hit F2 n & i have six newspapers opened up, it's a lot quicker than using the mouse.Not sure what you mean about the show on toolbar setting ? but Opera does not let you add anything to the Menu bar .You can only add a bookmark folder to the Personal Bar.You cannot remove or move the close min max butons top right on title bar.Everthing else just hold the shift key while you drag. How can you drag things around in FireFox i don't seem to be able to drag anything ? & any toolbars you have open can only go to the top with most monitors you have far more space on the sides it makes sense to have some toolbars there instead.
