Microsoft dropped the price for this phone to $69. I got mine last week but had to pay 10 bucks more. It is a great toy although I really don't use it as a phone. I have only VoIP.

But for entertainment and navigation it cannot be beat. Fits into your shirt pocket and can run your music, videos, PowerPoint shows etc. Office 365 comes with it for free. Lot's of other toys like games, music stations, etc. Add a MicroSD card and you are in business. Kari made some forum apps so that you can easily connect.

Sure, any time Steve. But I am no W8P expert, just a casual user. I found it to be easy to setup but there are a few caveats and a few must have programs. Here is a thread I have started on the 8-forum that gives a report about my experience and a lot of valuable input from real W8P experts.

PS: Make sure you have a MicroSD card handy. I use a 32GB model but it takes up to 64GB. Size will depend on how much data you want to carry. Music an videos do well. The little speaker is quite good.

You can install OEM licenses on any computer. I do that all the time.

Just FYI, as I'm sure none of us would make this mistake but saw where an OP had an issue with his RAM capacity. Windows was only seeing half of the 32gig installed. Turns out he had Windows 7 home premium 64-bit; the problem is this version only has a max capacity of 16gig - http://www.sevenforums.com/hardware...omputer-says-only-16g-usable.html#post2720844

Point? Whether it's memory, or something else, consider the OS for the job you intend the PC to handle.

I bring this up here because I see the deal going on for Home premium. To be honest I never thought about this, but than again I always go for the top tier OS.

Excellent point! However, most people won't need more than 16GB, even for gaming, unless they are doing RAM intensive operations such as heavy duty photo editing and video editing and rendering.

As I stated somewhere else here, we could argue the same about the high end systems we all enjoy so much but rarely use to half their potential. Sure we throw up a few benchmarks, but than what

I know my 32gig of RAM and unlocked 3.5gig processor has hardly broken a sweat. Which is precisely why I haven't even bothered to overclock it :huh:

Anyway just be aware of the OS you grab for the task you're doing.

Well, I may need to buy a few of those OEM Windows 7's because I got my Ultimates and Professionals from my membership in Technet. I don't know what is going to happen now that they are closed. I just hope they don't enforce their current rules.
