Dear Sevenforums,

Hope all is well

Unable to determine if I can update my Jasmine BIOS jas_710.rom v7.10

Apparently there is a Version 8

Have been around the www and broken links from HP

Wiped SSD and wanting to reload Windows 7 Professional on to an SSD in

AHCI mode and AHCI show up in both BIOS and Device Manager

(confirmation that the SSD is in AHCI mode)

jas_710.rom v7.10 BIOS does not show an option in advanced settings to

put SSD in AHCI mode

Thought BIOS update to Version 8 might give me the option in BIOS to

put SSD in AHCI mode

Also looking to format the SSD with a recovery partition for Windows

Using OEM

Using GParted to partition

Thank you

Any help greatly appreciated

Best

HP Pavilion p7-1235 Desktop PC (support site)
That model desktop was introduced in May 2012 and came with Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit.
I can't find a BIOS update for it in its drivers and software downloads section.
Where did you find version 8 of its BIOS software?

Hi, flavalee,

Thanks for responding, and looking for the updates and drivers

Below is where I found hope of updating to 8 (it is from hp forum)

How do I update my HP Pavilion p7-1235 Desktop PC bios to version 8?
The motherboard is in fact Jasmine. Is the ROM family the same as the SSID? It lists this spec on the website: "SSID: 2AE0"
when looking at the motherboard specs

With these two things checked off does it mean that my motherboard should be compatible for updating the bios to the newer version?
Yes

HP Tools is leading to me a page that is unavailable

Hoping that HP System Diagnostics UEFI is the same thing - I downloaded it

Unless you know of a working link to HP Tools I can try that

All best
