Hello,

I would like to fix this problem, In short, I have been uninstalling itunes and recently performed system restore, a few times and I dont remember having this problem before system restore. There is a few second (10-20) before and after the welcome screen which loads the desktop. The only culprit I can think of is the system restore.

I am currently using the most recent system restore and no luck at all.

Edit once windows has finished everything runs smoothly

In my experience with my own machines, it's pretty common for Windows to do that. It's a pause for Windows to load background software before activating the Desktop Window Manager. If it's really a concern, you could look in the Event Log and see if there are any errors on bootup. It might help you to zero in on a cause.

My guess is that iTunes left something behind on the uninstall, and Windows is looking for associated files to load and not finding them. But as I said, it's only a guess.

I see but what is the best way to remove unnecessary files from iTunes that I might not need. I have already disabled iTunes at start up and some services as well as installing the ones I don't need such as Bonjour
