black screen in full screen games

hi guys i have a problem.in games like hitman absolution,splinter cell i have black screen error.If i play league of legends sometimes i get black screen and sometimes i dont get this error.
i get this error just when i play in full screen.
Can you tell me what i can do?

Yes that is correct.

Update your Ati driver as shown, then play games as normal and

we will have to wait for another BSOD (hopefully not).

If you BSOD again. run the SF Tool and post up the logs.

yes i crashed again and yes i updated my ati driver...but i think i already had the latest version

Your logs showed the Ati driver was from 2012.

Run these tests and post back any results:

Run SFC to check the integrity of all Windows 7 system files:

• Click on Start > Type in search cmd
  Right-click cmd after results are displayed and Run as Administrator
  Type SFC /scannow at the prompt
  (Note: There is a space between SFC and /scannow)

Select option two. If any problems are found, run the scan 3 times and immediately
reboot the computer after each scan.

Also run chkdsk in an elevated command prompt in order to check for file system errors and bad sectors on your HDD:

• Click on Start>Type in search cmd
• Right click cmd and Run as Administrator
• At the command prompt please type: chkdsk /f/r
  (There is a space between chkdsk and /f/r)

Test your memory:

Try re-seating the RAM, ensure they are free from dust, and seated properly.
Then run memtest. Run for 8 passes and test each stick in a know good slot for an additional 6 passes.

in SFC scan -->no errors
in chkdsk scan --> i dont know,i let the pc to scan and after i came back to pc that was done and i was on desktop,the scan was made after i restar the pc
i dont made the test memory

but i took CPUID HWMonitor,i played a game a little and i found that the max temperature on my radeon hd 6870 is 75 C.when i made this test i dont had the black screen error soo probably when i have black screen the temperature is more then 75.What can i do?

Thanks for the feedback Those temps look ok, not excessive.

Okay the next step is to test the memory.

Also re-run the SF Tool again and post up the new logs please.

If order to eliminate overheating issues:

1. Power off the computer and unplug from the mains.

2. Remove the case cover and check the fans are free from dust.
(Good time to re-seat the RAM modules and ensure slots are dust free)

3. Check the CPU is seated properly and clean and re-apply Thermal Cooling Paste.

4. Power up the computer and check all fans are spinning, especially PSU and CPU fans.

If the above does not solve your issue, then run some hardware tests:

Hardware - Stress Test With Prime95: :ar: Hardware - Stress Test With Prime95
CPU - Stress Test Using IntelBurnTest: :ar: CPU - Stress Test Using IntelBurnTest
Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark: :ar: Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark

Monitor temperature of the system during the tests with :ar: HWMonitor

Did you carry out everything on the overheating list I suggested? :ar: here?

i done 1,2,4,but i dont re-applied the thermal cooling paste...should this be the problem? i will try to do this in a few hours...

Hi,

If the thermal paste is old, it may not be adequately cooling the CPU.
Or if the CPU heatsink fan is blocked with dust etc. An overheating CPU
can cause all sorts of issues and can cause instabilities in the hardware
of the system. This can lead to rebooting issues as well.

So I would definitely do No.3.

1. Find a suitable surface in a non carpeted room.
2. Switch off the computer and unplug from mains.
3. Make sure you earth yourself by touching the case or use Anti-static wristband as
static can fry the CPU.
4. Remove the CPU heatsink and fan assembly (clean the fan for good air flow)
5. Remove the CPU and remove old paste.
6. Apply new thermal paste (not too much or it can act as an insulator)
7. Re-assemble CPU and Heatsink & fan
8. Retest temperatures.

There are lots of videos on Youtube etc that show you how to carry out this procedure.

i will do this tonight but i think that this isn't the problem because when i am in game the temperature is increasing just on GPU,on the CPU the temperature has the same values like when i don't play games.
